The National Black Public Relations Society to organize a conference on Sept 20-23
The National Black Public Relations Society (NBPRS) will be organizing a national conference titled “Making our Communities Better through the Power of Public Relations” from September 20-23, 2007 at the Holiday Inn Chicago Mart Plaza. The move has been designed to explore the impact of public relations in the African-American community. Hot topics and strategies for successful public relations practices will form part of the panel discussions. Wynona Redmond, national president of NBPRS, announced that the conference aims to evaluate the power of PR in influencing the community and NBPRS will work out a corresponding strategy. “Attendance is a must for practitioners looking for a unique view of public relations,” Redmond added. A non-profit professional organization, NBPRS supports African American interests in the area of public relations via career development and training, chapter mobilization, networking, mentoring, and advocacy.
