Area Agency on Aging (AAA) –
Vaccine Outreach Specialist/ AAA Region (AACOG) Implements the AAA Covid-19 Vaccine Information and education outreach and events in the 13 County Region. Duties include assisting with implementation of vaccine education awareness and outreach efforts, by contacting clients to address vaccine concerns, provide information and referral resources regarding vaccines, scheduling a combination of homebound, partner appointments or onsite vaccine appointments for Older Adults in the 13-County Region; Maintains contact with partners, non-profit agencies, vendors, and state and federal agencies to facilitate vaccine educated and information regarding scheduling a vaccine appointment; Collects, analyzes and prepares Public and Media data for reporting through specialized software for AACOG, Health and Human Service Commission (HHSC) and reports as needed; Assist with projects, special events, training/workshops to educate, disseminate and provide vaccine information and referrals to Older Adults in the 13-county region. Works in closely with the Vaccine Coordinator to implement the Vaccine Public Awareness efforts for older adults in the 13 County Region; Collaborates with Vaccine coordinator and Public Affairs staff to ensure the Vaccine Information is disseminated through various methods via social media, constant contact, and newsletter in the rural counties, community partners as well as other available platforms; Outreaching to Older Adults via phone calls or responding to request via email for vaccine education and scheduling appointments, Conducts presentations with Vaccine Coordinator and participates in public awareness events to older adults; assist the Vaccine Coordinator in compiling, analyzing, and evaluating AAA vaccine efforts with outreaching (calls), dissemination of information (flyers, PSA count, social media likes/retweets etc.), Adheres to the Quality Assurance plan per internal/external agencies; Properly documents time in ADP or its equivalent as well as travel/mileage voucher. Perform other job related duties as may be assigned.
Desired Education/Job Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Public Health, Marketing, Liberal Arts, or related field.
Other Qualifications: Position requires long distance driving to rural areas and or Bexar County/City of San Antonio. This position is a Pay Grade 10, with a starting hourly rate of $18.22. This is a non-exempt position. Open until Filled.
