Job Summary

Program Overview: June 12th, 2023- Aug 17th, 2023  Are you an innovative, forward-thinker who would like to make an impact within the telecommunications industry? Comcast West Division, is seeking dynamic, self-motivated interns who have a strong passion to drive the age of innovation during an immersive summer experience with us! Our paid 10-week program gives interns hands-on experience working with various groups across multiple office locations within Comcast's West Division. As a member of the team, you will gain invaluable knowledge of the industry, be a part of our diverse and welcoming culture, and receive exposure to other areas of the business.

Additionally, your experience will include:  

Engagement: Working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units at Comcast during your internship experience.  

Exposure: An inside look into the day-to-day operations of an organization at the cutting edge of media and technology.  

Professional Development: Exposure to a variety of professional development topics facilitated by various partners and senior leaders within the organization. These sessions include speaker series, skill-building workshops, panels and networking opportunities.

About the Diversity Recruitment Team: 

Promotes and leads Diversity Recruitment Programs in the West Division.

Increase the flow of Diverse Talent and support the hiringof roles across multiple business functions​

Influence the DEI&B culture of West Divisionby analyzingdata to further diversify the pipeline of talent withinbusiness groups.​

Identify and foster external partnerships that align toourstrategic focus foraccelerating the flow of Diverse andskilled talent within ourorganization. 

Are you a match? We are looking for a Diversity Recruitment Public Relations Intern intern who can:  

Has good communication skills and is eager to share an outsider's perspective  

Has a passion for DEI initiatives, programs and organizations.

Enjoys writing, speaking, and presenting in front of an audience.  

Is social media savvy on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc., but understands the distinction of producing social media content for a corporation or brand as opposed to personal platform.  

Develops social media strategies and posting strategies.

Proficient in Power Point, Excel, Word, SharePoint or social media aggregators.

Is currently studying a degree in Public Relations, Communications, HR, Journalism or Public Policy.

What will you be working on as a Diversity Recruitment Public Relations Intern Intern: 

Work directly with the West Division Diversity Recruitment team to plan, organize and execute social media campaigns.

Under the direction of the Diversity Recruitment Programs Sr. Manager, work to identify, target and attract relevant audiences and tell the Comcast brand story via the West Division's social media channels.

Assist with Summer Internship Program and Hiring our Heroes activities, and communications both internally and externally.

Provide key insights on social media trends, content creation and overall approaches that will help build engagement, followers and viewers to Comcast Talent platforms.

Traditional and social media research, monitoring and reporting.

Basic Qualifications/Requirements 

Graduation date between December 2023 and May 2024   

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from a United States-based college or university  

Authorized to work in the United States of America and will Not require visa sponsorship now or in the future

Strong interest in the technology, telecommunications and media industries  

Ability to work independently and in group settings

Ability to report to assigned office post-graduation if offered and accepted a fulltime position  

Must reside or attend school near the host office located.

Salary:

Base Pay: $22.00

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
