THE POSITION

QuoteWizard by LendingTree is searching for a PR Specialist to be on the forefront of positioning our brand as a thought leader dedicated to making personal finance accessible, insightful and entertaining to consumers. Your focus will entail analyzing large data sets that will produce insurance reports for media syndication. Key components of the role are analyzing data to produce studies and overseeing public relations messaging for media outreach.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Cultivate and manage relationships with key members of the media

Take the lead on Media outreach initiatives consisting of but not limited to: original data research (studies, surveys rankings), bylines, tools and infographics.

Work with online publishers, bloggers, editors, journalists, government agencies and more to earn media placements.

Build, update and maintain media lists on an ongoing basis

Create editorial calendars for specific products; develop proactive PR pitches in line with calendar

Coordinate with product and analytics teams to create media relations content across several different products; Identify and create newsworthy content opportunities

Conduct extensive media outreach including press releases and/or media pitches

Run media contact lists across a variety of subjects, outlets, publications and mediums.

Track and develop reports on media coverage, applying PR metrics and analytics

Participating in brainstorming sessions to generate proactive and reactive press opportunities

Research media coverage and industry trends and prepare briefing materials when necessary

Conduct media interviews as the insurance specialist of QuoteWizard.

QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent web search capabilities to discover and sift through data sets for study analysis.

Ability to handle large data sets in Excel.

Skilled in Mathematics for the creation of unique data studies.

Understanding how to use data to tell a story.

Attention to detail with excellent proofreading, fact checking, editing skills and perfect grammar

Demonstrated MS Office Skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Nice to Have – SQL, Snowflake
