Description
The Senior Communications Professional develops and coordinates lines of communication for the Office of Inclusion & Diversity (I&D) among leaders and employees. The Senior Communications Professional work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Responsibilities
The Inclusion & Diversity Senior Communications & Engagement Professional markets Inclusion & Diversity programs and efforts to increase awareness, knowledge and engagement in I&D topics affecting associates. Creates and manages the I&D department's engagement strategy, inclusive of both internal and external audiences, through marketing and communications practices. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex engagement approaches for the team, with internal target audiences including executives, leaders and Humana associates. Owns and executes on external benchmarking and aligned communication strategies. Ideal candidate will enjoy working independently in collaboration with the I&D team and key marketing and communications partners across the enterprise and will exercise considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments, including development of creative multimedia content and compelling storytelling packages that reinforce Humana's I&D brand, culture and customer-centric approach.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
5 or more years of direct communications and/or marketing experience for various audiences
Experience formulating forward thinking and proactive insights-driven communication, marketing, and engagement strategies to include: identification of purpose/outcomes, channel selection, partner alignment, creative content development, and performance measurement and analysis
Experience working independently with multiple stakeholders from across the organization
2 or more years in designing creative content (SharePoint, PowerPoint, various collateral, etc)
Project management experience with ability to refine and/or create process within and across teams
Proven consultative approach
Knowledgeable about I&D topics and values contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Learning mindset to keep abreast of emerging best practices and technology and creative drive for engaging, interactive campaigns and communications
Demonstrated ability to independently plan, lead, design, and implement multimedia campaigns for driving awareness, education, engagement, and/or creating advocates
Ability to work under tight deadlines, multitask, and deliver quality work under pressure
Exceptional written communications skills and deep experience as a content creator
Proactive, flexible, and always seeking improvement and positive change
Ability to use discretion and possess exceptional judgement

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in Internal Communications, especially Inclusion & Diversity communications, programs and/or efforts to audiences including executives, leadership and all associates.
Background in health care communications
Experience with communications as an engagement and change management strategy
Advanced skills using O365 suite, including Teams, Powerpoint, SharePoint
Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
