In this role, you will lead a team of communicators, develop strategy and execute on narratives for Spunk\u2019s innovation and technology leadership. The ideal candidate is a proven leader with experience working in technology, building strong media relationships and managing high performing teams.Responsibilities Lead the development and execution of a global media strategy that enhances awareness of Splunk\u2019s product strategy and innovation, partner program, threat research and thought leadership.Drive a public relations program that articulates Splunk\u2019s innovation and technology leadership across key audiences through a steady cadence of news, thought leadership and creative storytelling.Develop and direct a program supporting Splunk\u2019s growing global partner ecosystem.Partner with executive communications to position Splunk executives and experts as thought leaders via media relations and speaking engagements.Drive the public relations program for Splunk\u2019s annual user conference.Serve as a trusted advisor within the corporate communications and marketing organizations.Consistently interact, and establish relationships with journalists and to drive thought leadership and market awareness.Operate with a global mindset, partnering with regional communications teams news, events and speaking engagements.Train and manage spokespeople for external-facing communications.Requirements12 years experience in communications, with an emphasis on products and technology. Cybersecurity experience is preferred.Passion for storytelling and an ability to quickly learn and understand complex technologyStrong executive presence and ability to influence and work with senior executives.Excellent judgment and ability to quickly make sound decisions in the best interest of the company.Ability to understand and quickly distill complex information to a variety of technical and non technical audiencesStrong organizational and multitasking ability, problem-solving skills, and consistent attention to detail.Ability to operate with grace under pressure and adhere to tight, last-minute deadlinesWe value diversity, equity, and inclusion at Splunk and are an equal employment opportunity employer.
