Description
The Foundation Professional 2 prepares, coordinates and oversees the organization's charitable activities. The Foundation Professional 2 work assignments are varied and frequently require interpretation and independent determination of the appropriate courses of action.
Responsibilities
Location: Remote
The Communications and Systems Foundation Professional 2 will be responsible for developing and maintaining grant administration systems and supporting the Humana Foundation's communication strategy. The Coordinator will be responsible for managing a portion of the Foundation's internal associate initiatives, discretionary grantee report tracking and communication activities. This role's most immediate priority will be the rollout of a new grant administration system for Foundation staff and external grantees. The role may also include implementation of special projects, as needed.
The role requires a commitment to producing high quality, timely deliverables within and across teams while possessing sound judgement and high attention to detail. This Foundation Professional 2 will need to have the ability to work independently and collaboratively while completing multiple tasks with competing deadlines and priorities.
Responsibilities include:
Responsible for managing and maintaining the grants registration process, including updating applicant and grantee information and resolving duplications in the grants management system
Supports updates and revisions to internal processes, workflow and training documents associated with external grant making
Manages communications deliverables to include internal Hi! articles, Buzz posts, website updates and other relevant Foundation content
Supports communications deliverables and messaging for Foundation-wide initiatives that intersect with Humana Inc. such as Bold Goal and other strategic initiatives.
Responsible for tracking and responding to inquiries in the Foundation's email box and on internal communications channels
Role Essentials
Bachelor's degree in Communications or any field
3-5 years or more of experience in communications, philanthropy, project management/coordination and/or project implementation experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines, multi-task and deliver quality work under pressure
Proven experience handling inquiries
Proactive, flexible and always seeking improvement and positive change
Ability to work well in a team development setting
Ability to use discretion and possess exceptional judgement
Possess keen attention to detail and displays a strong commitment to accuracy
Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, and Outlook)

Additional Information
Associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated, including booster, or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home.
