Job Summary:This job is responsible for assisting the assigned marketing manager in the planning and implementation of integrated marketing/communications initiatives in support of the organization's business and marketing goals within the assigned functional area. An incumbent works closely with CHI-FH administration, physicians, providers and community, as well as collaboration with the following departmental teams to effectively promote and support the organization’s strategic business goals: communications, creative services, digital strategies, and external marketing. Work includes but is not limited to: 1) writing, editing and coordinating the production of general marketing/promotional materials to promote organizational initiatives; 2) working with agency partners and freelancers to coordinate projects, and 3) coordinating a wide array of special events (e.g., health education forums, open houses, health fairs). Work requires knowledge of general marketing/communication standards and practices, and the ability to meet strict deadlines and work both independently and in a team environment to service a variety of clients. Also requires knowledge of social media channels and expertise with the Microsoft Office Suite. An incumbent is exposed to confidential information which entails frequent contact with internal customers, event committees, vendors, public and other staff in order to support organizational objectives.Work may occasionally require attendance at evening and/or weekend events.
Essential Duties:
Plans, researches, writes, edits and coordinates the production of general marketing materials/collateral (e.g. brochures, fact sheets, newsletters and related documents) as assigned based on established need/concept.
Participates in planning and design/production activities; obtains, analyzes and selects pertinent information based on audience, medium and overall objectives;
Oversees the work of internal and external designers, writers, photographers, direct mail houses, etc. to support publications and other marketing efforts; identifies issues and escalates to management staff as appropriate.
Supports product/service line and growth initiatives with the implementation of digital marketing strategies in partnership with digital strategies team and assigned manager.
Actively participates in brainstorming discussions with other members of the marketing group to generate creative campaign strategies and tactics for new product launches and service enhancements.
Partners with creative services team and outside vendors to ensure the consistency of the CHI-FH brand, tone, and message.
Produces direct mail pieces, oversees production and mailings, and support other marketing projects as needed.
Develops and follows action plans, timelines, approval processes and job tracking procedures required to ensure efficient work flow of projects, and best use of marketing personnel and outside vendors.
Partners with external marketing team to update web content and edit existing print collateral copy for use on the web site.
Evaluates, prioritizes and addresses marketing requests with diplomacy while staying within overall corporate goals and timelines.
Oversees the development and execution of specific campaign deliverables, including monitoring internal and external deadlines and facilitating timely, efficient production and execution of projects.
Participates in the planning, promotion, implementation and evaluation of external special events designed to promote the organization and support its business objectives; coordinates the design/placement of event advertisements; writes/oversees production of communication media (e.g. ads, direct mailers, press releases, posters, fliers, brochures etc.) to successfully promote the event.
Assists with CHI-FH representation at appropriate marketing events and represents the department at meetings and off-sites with various publics.
In conjunction with manager, establishes and coordinates project/event plans; identifies appropriate invitees based on established criteria; makes logistical arrangements and schedules staffing/volunteer support; coordinates registrations; arranges for speakers; follows up as necessary to ensure smooth event execution; promptly identifies potential issues and escalates to higher-level management staff as appropriate; provides on-site supervision of the event as needed.
Assists in the preparation of event budgets; solicits and reviews vendor proposals for goods and services; monitors expenses to ensure they are appropriate and charged correctly; ensures that events are conducted on time and within approved budget; participates in post-event evaluation to discuss outcomes/overall achievement of objectives and identify opportunities to improve future events.
Oversees the work of internal and external designers, writers, photographers, direct mail houses, etc. to support publications and other marketing efforts.
Identifies issues and escalates to manager as appropriate.
Performs related duties as required.

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism, English, Communications, Public Relations or related field
Two years of related marketing/communications work experience that would demonstrate attainment of the requisite job knowledge/abilities, including experience writing website content.
