THE POSITION
We are searching for an experienced Digital Marketing Manager to join our team in Sacramento. The focus of this position is to lead the growth, strategy and execution of our SMS marketing communications program. The ideal candidate is proficient in the challenges, solutions, and standard methodologies required to optimize revenue in this channel. This role requires a unique blend of creative marketing savvy combined with proven analytical and results-oriented thinking in order to develop marketing strategies for consumers who are shopping for auto, home or health insurance or financial products.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead SMS communication strategy with an initial focus on remarketing to call center leads.
Create customer segmentation (personas) and content versioning for accurate personalization.
Understand and map how SMS fits into the end-to-end customer journey.
Document requirements and work closely with internal developers and vendors to execute the strategy.
Handle day-to-day relations with SMS vendors, and play a key role in vetting vendors and managing messaging costs.
Efficiently lead direct reports(s) including day-to-day mentorship, OKRs, and regular performance reviews.
Synchronize outreach efforts with email, direct mail and mobile app teams to meet common goals.
Conduct A/B testing and optimize flow and messaging accordingly.
Work with analysts to summarize and present performance reporting and test results to team members and management.
Monitor marketplace trends and changes that will drive company-wide best practices and uncover best-in-class opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Digital Marketing, Communications or other related field.
3 - 5 years demonstrated digital marketing leadership experience including leading and managing SMS marketing campaigns, preferably in B:C retail.
Results-oriented, thrives on identifying and executing growth opportunities.
Highly organized and an excellent written and oral communicator including copywriting skills.
Familiar with SMS best practices and protocols including device-specific functionality, such as link previewing.
Deliverability expertise including usage of long/short codes and toll-free and carrier-specific rules of engagement.
Familiar industry regulations such as TCPA/CCPA.
Experience working with SMS vendors such as Twilio, AWS NSN, Plivo, SignalWire or similar.
Strong attention to detail, project management skills, and proven history of influencing growth.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, performing qualitative and quantitative research and generating insights & recommendations.
BONUS
Insurance industry experience.
Experience with SQL, Snowflake and/or MS Power BI.
