The Senior Manager, Media Strategy will lead and oversee the strategic planning of assigned paid media plans, including high profile campaigns and priority business groups. This role works with internal marketing teams to understand specific business and marketing goals, and oversees the creation and execution of paid media plans (traditional and digital, with a strong emphasis on digital media) within the context of the overall marketing mix. In addition, this role is responsible for building and maintaining a deep understanding of media success drivers and applying learnings to future campaigns and across the portfolio. The Senior Manager will assist in both the strategic and day-to-day management of the media agency, as well as budget management for areas of responsibility. This role reports into the Director and will have direct reports.
There are two positions focusing on the following areas:

Promotional Campaigns, Team/ Campaign Operations
What will you do?
Assist in developing the strategy, role/ intent and media mix of paid media at **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***., based on brand objectives, business goals, the blend of vendor and **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***. funded budgets and media profitability
Develop data driven paid media recommendations that support key business and marketing objectives
Manage the entire media planning process from strategy through implementation working with brand/ category marketing and other internal business teams; direct media agency on creation and execution for assigned media plans
Provide direction and guidance to the media agency at both the overall strategic level, as well as day-to-day for assigned campaigns
Utilize industry trends, business environment and media results (including measurement insights from tools such as media mix optimization and attribution) to improve future strategies and plan recommendations for individual campaigns as well as overall media mix
Deliver ongoing paid media thought leadership and education to marketing partners; oversee the team’s deployment of paid media best practices across the portfolio
Ensure media budgets are maintained by working closely with brand/ category marketing and finance partners
Develop strong relationships and collaborate with media agency, brand/ category marketing and cross functional marketing partners (i.e. media sales and account management, creative, finance, research, etc.); help create processes and structure for internal client service that balance of quality and efficiency
Create demand/ visibility for the team by representing paid media strategies to senior marketing leadership
Coach and manage multiple direct reports, ultimately leading an inspired, engaged team by providing clear direction, feedback and development to team members
Attract and develop high-quality and diverse talent
Basic Qualifications
10 Years progressive media planning experience in advertising agency or client setting
5 Years digital planning and/or buying experience; familiarity with display, digital video, mobile/ tablet, paid social and retargeting
6 Years people or resource leadership experience (direct or indirect)
Proven ability to oversee multiple, high profile projects end-to-end, on time and within budget, in a highly dynamic, collaborative and matrixed environment
Significant organizational skills to work effectively in a fast-paced, high campaign volume environment demanding quick responses
Strong presentation skills and executive presence to garner support from marketing teams/ leadership and persuade them on media recommendations
Strong leadership abilities and experience managing teams/ cross-functional work relationships, both internally and with external agency and media partners
Stay current on industry trends, and proactively utilize trends to develop and recommend new business/ media partnership opportunities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing omni-channel paid media programs for a national, retail brand
Experience managing million-dollar budgets
