Job Description:
To support the Manufacturing External Relations (ER) Manager in implementing internal and external communications strategies and policies at the site level. Also, to align site communication delivery to country-level reputation priorities, supporting the sites and the country’s licence to operate and grow.
Support the Manufacturing External Relations Manager to:
Provide strategic ER counsel and support in areas of reputation opportunity and risk to business leaders.
Deliver country external and internal communications results in line with the global M and country ER strategy
Work closely with both Business ER teams and COEs to ensure alignment between global and local messaging
Work closely with business and country IC Advisor to align internal and external messaging and content
Provide full range of external ER support to critical projects including developing external engagement plans, communications plans, producing written and video stories, liaising with external stakeholders and identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues that could potentially harm Shell's reputation
Support ER manager in social performance delivery, including liaising with the Singapore Social Investment Advisor and Volunteering Advisor to help meet business objectives and maintain the societal license to operate.

Requirements:
An understanding of broad energy industry issues and stakeholder perspectives
Able to translate complex technical matters to accessible messages
Strong interpersonal and communications skills, including sound writing and speaking skills, and experience in media relations, issues management, stakeholder engagement, and the identification/management of non-technical risks and key stakeholder relationships that may impact Shell’s reputation
Strong listening and influencing skills to enlist involvement/support from all levels, inside and outside the organisation, and achieve results
Able to gain the trust of senior leadership by demonstrating: Ability to provide ER counsel; Ability to handle confidential information; Ability to handle crisis and highly sensitive issues with strong knowledge of crisis management preparedness, activation, resolution and learning.
