Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
The Unit Publicist is responsible for the development and execution of public relation priorities for Daytime Talk Shows, “The Steve Wilkos Show,” “Judge Jerry,” and “MAURY,” all part of **MEMBERS ONLY**SIGN UP NOW***.niversal's Syndication Studios and Stamford Media Center.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Provide support to PR team by assisting in the daily management of press and publicity efforts
• Manage incoming requests for photos, video, bios and other assets for publicity purposes
• Manage and maintain all press materials including photos, bios, videos and press clippings
• Create and manage multiple detailed press distribution lists
• Maintain detailed communications plans, media lists and schedules
• Write and manage clip reports and press roundups
• Write and draft press materials including bios, program notes and press releases
• Pitch show content including interviews, stories, photos
• Organize and secure press for all Hosts
• Serve as day-of press contact for Hosts
• Assist with crews, photo shoots and events
• Assist in managing and distributing internal Syndication Studios/ Stamford Media Center press communications
• Support PR team including some administrative work
• Manage and coordinate various team projects throughout the year
• Some weeknight, travel and weekend work required
Qualifications
/Requirements
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
• Minimum of 3-4 years in PR/ Media Relations experience
• Must be a strong writer with a demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment
