What's the role?
The Social Media Community Advisor is an integral member of the China and NA Media Relations team. The role contributes to Shell China’s reputation building on social media by proactively creating impacts via effective content and preventing potential issues and crisis via managing community feedback on corporate social media accounts.
Some of the key accountabilities and responsibilities of this role are:
Maintain and implement Shell China social media content plan across corporate account platforms (Weibo, WeChat, Zhihu etc.), in line with Shell China’s country reputation plan;
Represent Shell brand and tone of voice across social media channels, notably: Weibo and WeChat, including community management of major corporate campaigns;
Ensure the compliance and consistency of Shell China social media guidelines on corporate social media accounts.
Collaborate with business teams and ER community to develop and align the corporate social media calendar for China;
Liaise with Shell China and global spokespersons to identify good opportunities for engaging/interacting on social media channels;
Coordinate and activate social media during live events, such as SEM, Shell festival and conferences;
Monitor social media channels on a regular basis and immediately elevate and make recommendations for addressing any potential crisis issues.

Requirements:
What we need from you
Practitioner of social media, with examples illustrating it.
Competency and understanding of social media, digital content and its role in reputation building.
Direct experience in managing social media in a corporate context.
Good articulation, written communication skills and attention to detail.
Must be customer focused with demonstrated experience providing insight on customer behaviour.
Experience working collaboratively with business teams, ER colleagues and Media spokespersons.
Experience in defining social media KPIs relevant to communication objectives and business outcomes.
Understanding of community management and importance of this social media interaction.
Degree or equivalent, in Marketing/Communications or a relevant discipline.
