We are looking for a Communications Manager in the ClimateXChange Secretariat. ClimateXChange is Scotland’s Centre of Expertise on Climate Change and is funded by the Scottish Government.  The small ClimateXChange Secretariat team is based at the Edinburgh Climate Change Institute (ECCI).  
The Opportunity:
The role is responsible for external and internal programme communications, and designing and delivering communications across a number of audiences and projects. We are looking for a Communications Manager with an editor’s eye for detail, a firm grip on writing Plain English and a flair for engaging a range of audiences on complex issues across social media and events. The post holder line manages a part-time Communications Officer. With Scotland’s commitments to achieve a net-zero future and support a just transition this is an exciting time to join the ClimateXChange team at the start of a new programme with increased focus on external communications and events.
Your skills and attributes for success:
Experience in a strategic communications role
Experience of developing and implementing effective communications strategies
Proven track record of writing and editing for a policy audience
Expertise across  a range of digital media communications
Experience working with a range of suppliers of design and other media service01
