Local, well-established insurance company has a rewarding opportunity for an outgoing and energetic Community Events Coordinator
This newly created position will work closely with the Communications Director to help expand and restructure community involvement programs and create brand awareness.
The Community Events Coordinator will initially be responsible for the duties listed below and will eventually build and oversee a team event planners.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Coordinate social, volunteer and fundraising activities throughout the region
Engage non-active members and develop new methods to increase member participation
Work with onsite graphics department to develop attractive eblasts and flyers
Travel to events to ensure successful execution and to meet and greet those attending
Develop and maintain budget for fundraising activities
Record performance, cost and attendance at each event
Secure photos for organization’s publication and Social Media platforms
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Marketing or Communications
3-5 years of Event Management/Planning experience
Ability to work independently and travel regionally outside of standard business hours
